REPLANTED CONFERENCE FAQ
IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?
Sadly, no. Childcare is not provided for this event. This is a “Kid Free” event. That means as much as we love kids (and we really love kids) we are trying to create an environment where parents and caregivers are able to relax, unwind, and of course be Refreshed. So please no children of any age and no exceptions.
WILL LUNCH BE PROVIDED AT THE CONFERENCE?
Yes, a meal will be included. Depending on response to the event will determine the vendor, which will be selected within 3 weeks of the conference, and we will email you about food options.
WHEN IS THE CONFERENCE?
Element will be playing the Replanted conference on Saturday, November 16th starting at 9am. The schedule is still being finalized.
WAIT, ISN’T THE CONFERENCE 2 DAYS?
Yes, the full conference happening in Chicago is 2 days, and last year Element hosted both days – and it was great! However, the overall feedback was a desire to only have a one-day conference that was a little cheaper. So this year we worked with Replanted to bring you just that. One-Day conference, with some condensed content at a cheaper price tag.
Because the conference is shorter, we do hope you stay on campus during lunch – because this is an opportunity to connect with others. We will also create other spaces outside of the conference weekend to spend time in social settings, and or our support group we are launching this fall.
WHAT IS THE REPLANTED CONFERENCE?
The Replanted Conference is a Christian conference designed for foster and adoptive parents, Safe Family parents, kinship providers, support systems, and professionals – basically anyone supporting or caring for children through adoption and foster care.
The Replanted Conference is a national conference (available both in-person in Chicago and simulcasted to many other locations) and is designed to refresh, equip, and inspire our attendees. We offer highly specialized training, amplify the voices of adult adoptees and foster alumni, and seek to support parents like you on your post-placement journey.
IS THE REPLANTED CONFERENCE FAITH-BASED?
The Replanted Conference is a Christian conference hosted by Replanted Ministry, but the conference is not limited to only people of faith. All are welcome.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE CONFERENCE?
We see the Replanted Conference as a time to recharge, meet others in similar situations, find support and motivation. Besides watching the conference main speakers and breakouts, you will hear stories from people and some organizations in our community and even have ways to pamper yourself. There will be gifts given away too.
IS TRAINING CREDIT (CONTINUING EDUCATION) AVAILABLE TO FOSTER PARENTS?
Yes! Training certificates will be made available whether you attend in person in Chicago, attend a simulcast site, or watch from your home. You will be given a training certificate that will be found at the back of your program guide. It will be the registrant’s responsibility to complete the training certificate with the sessions you attended and submit that paperwork to your licensing worker for approval.
Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee that each state or licensing agency will grant training credit. We recommend that you submit the sessions you are interested in attending to your licensing worker for pre-approval.
WHAT IF WE HAVEN’T ADOPTED/FOSTERED YET?
You are welcome to attend! We believe it’s important to surround yourself with support, information, and others who get it at the beginning of your journey. However, this conference is not a recruiting event. Rather, the Replanted Conference is about equipping parents to care for children impacted by adoption or foster care. You are welcome here!
IS THERE A COUPLE’S DISCOUNT?
Unfortunately, no. Pricing is based per person.
IS THE CONFERENCE BEING STREAMED LIVE FROM CHICAGO?
No. Element is hosting and playing back recordings from the previous weekend. We did this because we are in a later time zone, and wanted to minimize possible technical issues. This is why, if you go to the replantedconference.org website, you will see differing dates.
WHAT IS THE COST?
The Replanted Conference cost is as follows:
- Early bird pricing is $30/ticket now through September 8th.
- Meals are included.
ARE THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIPS?
Element doesn’t want money to be a deterrent for coming to this wonderful event. If you are in need of financial assistance, you can email us at replanted@ourelement.org. Scholarships are limited, but we will do what we can to assist.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
We are very sorry, but we are unable to issue refunds if you need to cancel. You are welcome to transfer your registration to someone else or gift it to someone seeking a scholarship.
If you are unable to attend, please email us at replanted@ourelement.org and let us know if you would like to give your registration to a friend or donate it to a scholarship recipient.
