Our Mission:
Youth – Middle School, High School, & Beyond
REACTION (6th thru 8th grade) and CATALYST (9th thru 12+ grade) are the older sections of eFamily! We aim to help students appreciate how Jesus is relevant to our lives at any stage by addressing their distinct needs and questions. We also seek to equip parents to understand and communicate with their students by facilitating conversations and offering resources and support. Have questions or want more info? Reaction - Middle School (6-8th)
Reaction is Element’s Middle School ministry for students in 6th-8th grade. Reaction meets most every Sunday during the 10:45 am service. On the last Sunday of each month, Reaction students attend the adult service with their families to facilitate family discussion and integrate students into the larger church body – and then meet for a ‘fun event’ in the afternoon or evening.
The average Reaction meeting includes a biblical message followed by student community time – modeled after our vision of seeing every believer engaging in a Gospel Community. During this community time, students dive deep into the message, seeing how it relates to the life they are living today, and how the Gospel challenges us to change and grow. Students pray for each other and encourage each other on their individual spiritual journeys. Sunday mornings in Reaction are rounded out with time to socialize and connect students and leaders through fun and engaging games and activities.
Catalyst - High School+ (9th + up)
Catalyst ministry gathers at 6:00pm most Sundays throughout the year in the Element Barn. During Sunday mornings, Catalyst folks are encouraged to attend Element’s adult service with their peers/family and/or serve with one of Element’s many volunteer teams (eLittles!, eKids!, Worship and A/V team, etc.).
Catalyst’s Sunday gatherings include time for fun, a biblical message, and shared life in community with peers and adults. Particularly important, community time encourages students to dive deeper into the message, draw comparisons to their life, and explore how the Gospel drives and changes us and our choices. Our goal in Catalyst is to instill a deep understanding of the Gospel and practice/challenge our faith so that students and young adults own their faith personally. We also seek to prepare them for life after High School – and some of the life challenges that may come as they leave home.
The Hangout
All 6th-12th grade students are invited to join us (most) every Tuesday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm in the Element Barn for “The Hangout.” Come for some or all of the time and simply have fun with us. The Hangout gives teens a space to catch up with friends and youth leaders, play ping-pong or Nintendo Switch, learn a new card or board game, and overall build community together.
Youth Camp – Winter 2025
Attention all 6th-12th grade students! Element is heading to Hartland Christian Camp February 14-17, 2025! For $320, you get transportation to and from camp, three days/nights of friends, food, fun, and time to grow in faith. Reserve your spot by signing up via our online form and getting us a $50 deposit.* There are various fundraising opportunities so please reach out to Christie or Kevin if finances are holding you back. Registration deadline is January 26. Spots sell out quick camp-wide so the sooner we receive your registration and deposit, the better.

eFamily! Events for Everyone
Each month, eFamily! aims to host events where families, kids, and adults (of all ages) can interact and participate together. Some events are just for fun, like ‘Bubble Sunday,’ and some are strategically designed to build stronger families, like Change Their View (or CTV).
