Monthly Meet & Greet

Meet & Greet

Email us with questions at connect@ourelement.org

If you are new or newer to Element, we want to invite you to our monthly Meet & Greet. Every last Sunday of the month, following each service, we will host a Meet & Greet in our lounge (which is just across the double doors of the Sanctuary next to the coffee station). Each month we will have at least 1 Elder, a representative from our eFamily team, and another staff member to help introduce you to who we are–including why we do some of the things we do and how you and your family can become better connected.

We know coming to a new church can be hard and often intimidating, and that’s just the first step. The next step is actually getting connected to that church, which can be even more intimidating for some… we hope the Meet and Greet can help.

*If you have kids in one of our classrooms, please feel free to pick them up before coming, because we’d love to meet them too!

We know how hard it is to step into any community of people, especially a church, for the first time. Many of us at Element have felt the exact same way at some point! Hospitality is important to us, and we will do our best to make you feel welcome.

The Kernerman Dictionary defines element as “an essential part of anything” and the “surroundings that are necessary for life.” At Element Christian Church, we believe the pressures of life constantly try to force us further away from true, abundant life. In our humanity, we feel disconnected from who we truly were made to be… spiritual beings connected to our God. We are all on the journey and we invite you to let us journey with you.

We believe that God has placed people on this planet to not only have relationship with Him, but with each other as well. True community is hard work…people are messy! However, we believe Jesus is what makes life-giving, transformative relationship with God and others possible.

HERITAGE: We believe the central truths of the historic orthodox Christian faith. We believe that Christianity today goes back, not only to the foundations of the apostles and prophets in New Testament Scripture (Ephesians 2:19-22), but also to Israel’s rich history as the people of God seeking to know Him. Today this all culminates in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

JOURNEY: We believe that knowing God is a journey and not a destination. We believe that as we grow closer to God through Christ, we will realize how deep the love of God is for all mankind. Because our faith is a journey, change is expected and rebirth is essential.

COMMUNITY: All people bear the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and as such, are worthwhile and to be treated with honor and respect. We believe we are to carry each other’s burdens, worship Jesus with a common voice, confess and pray with one another, and suffer and celebrate together.

SERVICE: We believe that Jesus was God in human flesh, and that the Church is to be the main thrust of God’s ongoing presence in the world. Jesus, though God, came as a servant (Philippians 2) and illustrated how we are to live and love others. As followers of Christ, we are to fight injustice, relieve suffering, and be a compelling force for good in the world as we care about the things God cares about.

To Glorify God by teaching and living out the Scriptures, transforming community into Gospel Community, and planting churches.
