The Apostle Paul was accused of subverting Judaism by teaching against the people, the law and the temple. Understanding these accusations are key to understanding not only the book of Acts but the Gospel as well. They are the same accusations that were made against Stephen in Acts Chapter 6 before he was executed, and they are by-and-large the same accusations made against Jesus. We need to understand what God’s Word says about the people, the law and the temple because neither Paul, Stephen nor Jesus taught against those things, but rather, they taught the true and proper understanding of those things.
In 2020 Element is walking through the last 16 chapters of the book of Acts, we are calling this Acts Part 2. We did part one a few years ago where we essentially followed the early church, with a focus on Peter, up through Acts chapter 12. Now we will mostly follow the Apostle Paul as he presents the good news of Jesus to the world with in their cultural contexts.
