Service in the Park Details
Join us as Element brings our Sunday Service to the festivities of Los Alamos Old Days! On Sunday, September 29, Element is hosting a community wide Service in the Park from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. We’re planning a family friendly outdoor service with musical worship, preaching, and ways to engage the whole family. (No kids program, but we’ve got something special instead!)
After service, we invite kids and families to join the Element entry in the Los Alamos Parade (see below). After that, stay and play! Buy your lunch from a vendor, or bring a picnic; enjoy the Whisker Wranglers petting zoo, live music, cultural entertainment, and more!
Wanna be involved? Have some extra time? See how you can volunteer (below) and help us make this community event possible.
Parade Information
Element Families – We would LOVE your kids (thru 5th grade) to join us in the Los Alamos Parade at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 29 (after the Service in the Park)!
Many of you (and your kids) are building cardboard cars, box horses, and costumes for the eKids Drive-in Movie night on Friday, September 27. Let’s get double the fun out of those awesome creations and show them off in the Los Alamos Parade as well!
Parade Staging: 10:30-45 am (Find the Element sign in the staging area.)
Parade Begins: 11:00 am
If you want some space, extra cardboard, creative inspiration, etc. to build your box horse/car, bring your kid(s) to our Parade & Drive-In Movie prep session at Element at 12:30 pm on Sunday, September 22.
Petting Zoo: Whisker Wranglers
Watch out! The Whisker Wranglers, our guinea pig friends, are strollin’ into town for Los Alamos Days. (Maybe you met them at Old Orcutt Christmas Eve celebration last year as the “Jingle Squeaks”?)
Stop by the Whisker Wranglers booth after the parade from 12:00 noon to 1:30pm and cuddle with a fluffy friend! The booth will be in Ferini Park.
