Four: Parenting (Mother's Day 2017) (What In The World? Part 2)

What happens every day in our homes defines what normal is for our families! It may be normal for you to eat a hamburger every Friday night, it might be normal for you to get ice cream every Tuesday after school, it might be normal for your family to have a game night each week (where you shut off the TV), but we must make sure to make Jesus a normal part of our family life. We must become a people who make worshiping Jesus a normal attitude of our hearts; not a special event set aside for a specific time once a week. Every parent will leave a personal legacy, the most important thing for your children to see in you is an authentic relationship with God through Jesus Christ. From Series: "What In The World"

What in the World is all about those things in the bible that makes us scratch our heads and say, “what in the world?” Like when Jesus says, “Hate your father and mother,” or the Apostle Paul says not to “touch a woman,” it should make us ask, “What in the world is that there for?” During this series we will look at some of Element’s “What in the World” questions while also giving you a chance to fill out some 3X5 cards on Sundays or an online form here, to ask us your own “What in the World” questions. Next summer (2017) we will revisit this series and answer the questions that you ask us on those 3X5 cards. This is all in an effort to help us understand that when we run across things in the bible that are hard, there are still answers and we can trust God as we live on mission with Him in the world.
